Remarkably Diverse

My name is Emily, I’m a 12-year-old girl who is in Year 6 at St Andrew’s. St Andrew’s is a great community, with teachers that are amazing, thoughtful, and caring. It is a remarkably diverse school, which is only one of the many things I love about St Andrew’s. I came from a different country to here, aged 5, where I at once started school. St Andrew’s helped me through this change, providing friends and a family outside of my own.  Emily (Year 6 student)

St Andrew's has served me well

In my time at St Andrew’s, I have had great times with teachers, students and have been able to express my love of learning in the way I have wanted to. The teachers in the school have been great and I could not say how much I have loved having them as my teachers. The curriculum for each grade is different and unique, having the chance to play different sports against different schools from grades 3 to 6 and getting to go on camps in grades 5 and 6. When learning in class, teachers always make sure to make learning as fun as possible and we get to do interesting science experiments and learn important life skills. Overall, St Andrew’s has served me well in getting prepared for high school and made me learn so much about who I am and things about the world.  Michael (Year 6 student)

A vibrant spirit of community

St Andrew's is a school that strives to create a vibrant spirit of community with their students and their families. The teaching staff bring a welcoming and engaging approach to learning, challenging kids to be their best. It offers a range of extra curricular activities, allowing kids to give things a go and develop across all areas. It is a pleasure to be a part of the school!   Samantha (Parent)

Sense of community

I’ve been a member of the St Andrew’s community for 7 years now, and if there is one thing I love about it, it’s the sense of community that the school provides. I really enjoy the community aspect here at St Andrew’s, and everyone is involved. The community events, such as the fair, are one of the core reasons that St Andrew’s is the great school it is. The education we receive here is incredible, and it’s all down to the teachers. They work day in and day out to provide us with all the resources and chances we get is phenomenal. The gardens and grounds are so well kept, and everything is always tidy thanks to the fantastic work the groundskeepers do to keep the school tidy. All in all, St Andrew’s is the school for Ferny Grove.  Zachariah (Year 6 student)

Positive and inclusive environment

The best thing about Saint Andrew’s is the community and the positive and inclusive school environment, and the school works hard to foster this. Having a great community allows the kids to feel part of something bigger, be proud of their school, and to be comfortable in their surroundings and in who they are. The positive and friendly school environment has attracted some wonderful teachers to the school over the years who really care about the kids and their learning. Michael (Parent)

Strong sense of community

What I love most about St Andrew’s is the strong sense of community. The teachers are amazing—they don’t just teach; they truly care and always do that little extra to support each child. My children have really thrived here, and it’s been a wonderful place for them to learn and grow. It’s this kind of environment that makes St Andrew’s so special.   Rod (Parent)
